Awaab’s Law, arising from the
Social Housing (Regulation) Act 2023, requires social landlords to investigate and fix reported damp and mould hazards within strict timeframes (14 calendar days to investigate, 7 days to start repairs, 24 hours for emergencies). Taking effect on 27 October 2025, it aims to protect tenant health following the death of Awaab Ishak.
